This Super Green Smoothie is an awesome mix of greens and fruit. It’s a perfect on-the-go breakfast or an afternoon snack if you need a boost of energy. The best part is the mix of fruit masks the taste of kale and spinach so it makes the smoothie great for all ages.  Just what I love – a hearty mix of healthy and happy! And not to worry – if there’s a berry you don’t like you can easily substitute and switch up the recipe to include your favorite fruits.

Makes about 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 cup of strawberries and raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds

Ingredients to top:

  • Granola
  • Fresh Berries
  • Shredded Coconut
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Flax Seeds
  • Pecans

Instructions:

  1. Add almond milk, spinach, kale, berries, banana and chia seeds to blender.
  2. Add additional spinach or almond milk as needed. More spinach to thicken the smoothie bowl or add more almond milk for a smoother smoothie, then blend again
  3. Get creative and design the toppings to your hearts content!
  4. Pour a bowl for a friend and enjoy!
